Sketching with a light grey pen to focus on the shadows. That was the idea anyway but I got a little carried away and just kept drawing. Waiting outside music class once again so have time to go too far!

Drawing from a photo this time and this composition just made me stop and turn back to snap a photo. I was walking through the new town on a glorious day of strong sunshine and crisp shadows.

Afternoon all. I am liking updating the notes on substack rather than posting too much. I feel the audience is right and interested plus it doesn’t have the pressure of having to be right first time and a perfect finished piece.

Plus the notes are a nice way of letting folk know what I’m up to as an artist but not bombarding you with emails or filling up my home page with random posts.
