A little gold paint lifts these ink drawings from the wood

I have been experimenting with ink drawings of wooden panels this month and for these two of Newhaven in Edinburgh I wanted to highlight the sunshine and add something a little special.

I love to highlight the every day and crop in to the views that are often taken for granted to find beauty, striking composition and pride in a local area.

Drawn originally with India ink and a dipping pen I have painted on the gold acrylic to emphasise the dark and light in these scenes.
