It was the first of my summer sketching classes with the National Trust yesterday, this time up at Kellie Castle in Fife. Numbers were low but I am hoping that will be as it was the first of the season and I am new to taking my Introduction to Sketching to these properties. Later in the year I have a couple of dates at Falkland Palace too which is very exciting.
So please do spread the word and come along yourself, the workshops are for all abilities and I will share my tips and techniques to build confidence and get started quickly.
On Saturday my family and I enjoyed a walk along Newhaven Harbour for the Newhaven Maritime Festival. A free community festival hosted by Newhaven Coastal Rowing Club there were stalls celebrating the history of the area and local Sea Cadets had activities for the little ones. We saw rowing boat launches and heard shanties being sung before enjoying a lovely ‘linner’ (lunch/dinner) at Pier House restaurant. A perfect end to a happy day.
