A day out in Fife
A trip to Kellie Castle to discuss new workshops provided such creative inspiration in this creative home.
I am so glad to be planning new sketching workshops in Fife for next year and to also discover such a history of artistic creativity in Kellie Castle. It was my first time to the castle which sits just above Elie in the east of the Kingdom and which boasts a wonderful walled garden currently blooming with autumnal colours and heavy with apples ready to fall.
I took the tour and found out the castle was home to the Lorimor family who were creative and successful with sculptors, designers, painters and architects in the family. Kellie is the perfect place for a sketching tour and I am so glad to be running my workshops there in 2025.
The above sketch I made whilst walking around the walled garden at Kellie Castle. You can find out more about this creative castle at the National Trust for Scotland website.
