WhereArtI Edinburgh?

Monday 22nd June

Can you tell me where I have sketched?

Have you noticed this clock on the side of a building before?

Leave your answer in the comment box below. Your comment will not show up until I reveal the answer, which I will do before the end of the day.

I will pick a random winner from all correct entries and they will go on to the ‘Winners wall’ for the month. At the end of the month one of those will be picked to receive a prize.

The prize for June is a screen printed tea towel featuring my Victoria Street illustration.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is teatowelwai.jpg

Keep an eye on my facebook and twitter feeds for clues if they are needed later today, and I will pick a winner for the Winners Wall before the end of the day.

Keep looking up and noticing the beauty in the everyday, you never know where I will be sketching next!

If you would like to buy an Edinburgh Sketcher tea towel you can find all 4 designs in my Etsy shop.

The WhereArtI weekly sketch quiz

WAI211013Hello everyone, another puzzler for you, and a toughy this week. This building has quite distinctive windows though, and the flash of red may help. Can you tell me what this building is called, or is used for?

No prize this time, but there are valuable points up for grabs for the first three to give me the correct answer.

The rules are simple, each week I sketch a mystery location within Edinburgh, all you have to do is tell me where I am. Can you place the sketch?

You can answer below, on facebook or twitter and also to keep an eye on the ES facebook page and twitter for clues throughout the day. Answers to come by this time tomorrow, and if you would like to donate a prize for the quiz get in touch HERE.

Where Art I? #008

Another puzzler for you to test your Edinburgh architecture knowledge, this week I discovered these impressive swirls of masonry, but can you tell me where they are, and have been for almost 200 years?

Good luck and remember to check in at the ES facebook page for clues though out the day.

Include hashtag #wherearti with your answers either below, on facebook or twitter.

Answers to come by the end of the day and hopefully this week I will get that WhereArt!? leaderboard setup.

The drawing is in black ink, using a staedtler triplus fineliner, with pencil shading (HB) over the top,  to highlight the building.
