Seaside Exhibition at The Haven Cafe

HavenWallThis week I have been putting up a new exhibition at The Haven Cafe in Newhaven, Edinburgh.

Famed for their legendary breakfasts and home baking the Havenettes are very welcoming and run a relaxed and homely cafe between Leith and Granton Harbour.

My wall is on the right as you enter the light and airy eatery, so find them out if you havent already. Enjoy a scrummy breakfast or delightful coffee and cake , whilst looking at my high quality prints. They are priced from £25 to £49 and available to take straight away.

A mammoth show at the National Museum of Scotland

Mammoth_ColumbianMammoth_molar Currently amazing visitors young and old the Mammoth Exhibition at the National Museum of Scotland is an essential day out.

Filled with life size, interactive exhibits the show, which runs until April 20th is jam packed with facts and figures, all you could ever want to know about these woolly beasts.

Encouraged to touch visitors can find out what mammoth fur feels like, joust with tusks and see an exact replica of the 42,000 year old baby woolly mammoth, Lyuba.

Originally curated by The Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, the exhibition includes objects from the Ice Age which have been brought together for the first time in the UK. Catch them in Edinburgh now, before the heard moves on.

Foodies at Holyrood gallery

30th January  The Foodies at Holyrood cafe near the Scottish Parliament are currently hanging EdinburghSketcher artwork in their gallery space.

For the next two months they have kindly agreed to hang my work in their cafe. I have a mixture of prints and original sketches on sale, in various sizes and at a range of prices. All artwork is framed and available to buy straight off the wall. The gallery will keep changing as I will replace each sold piece with a new different sketch.

Pop in and pick up a piece of original Edinburgh art, and stay for a while. They serve delicious baked potatoes, soups and sandwiches along with great coffee.

For directions (the cafe is on Holyrood road) and more information about their  menu and facilities see their website HERE.
