WhereArtI Edinburgh?

Monday 21st December

Can you tell me where I have sketched?

Do you recognise this view over the water?

Leave your answer in the comment box below.

Your comment will not show up until I reveal the answer. Closing time for entering is midnight tonight and I will pick a random winner from all correct entries by this time tomorrow.

This week’s prize is a screen printed tea towel featuring my illustration of the Shore in Leith.

Keep an eye on my facebook and twitter feeds for clues if they are needed later today, and remember you can also see my weekly competition in the printed version of the Edinburgh Evening News each Monday.

Keep looking up and noticing the beauty in the everyday, you never know where I will be sketching next!

My Edinburgh sketched merchandise is available on my Etsy shop and although I am fully booked for Christmas commissions there are plenty of Edinburgh prints available.

Celebrating 10 years of EdinburghSketcher with a feature in the local paper.

This week the Edinburgh Evening News interviewed me for a feature in their paper, discussing my life as sketcher of our beautiful city.

As the Covid-19 lock down moved into its fourth week here in Scotlands sunny capital the local paper got in touch to ask how I was coping having to sketch in doors.

I had a chat with writer and editor Liam Rudden who then wrote a lovely piece in the paper which you can follow the link read to read in full. It also includes some of my lock down sketches.

It was very flattering to be asked to comment and to be featured in this way so thanks to the Edinburgh Evening News and to everyone who has supported me in the last ten years of sketching the capital, here’s to another ten!!

WhereArtI in print

For the past few weeks my WhereArtI quiz has been running in the Edinburgh Evening News newspaper as well as on the EdinburghSketcher website, twitter and facebook pages.

I’m very pleased to say this is to continue and each week a reader has the chance of winning a bottle of whisky by entering the competition through the paper.

Thank you to all at the Edinburgh Evening News for your continued support for EdinburghSketcher. Below is how the WhereArtI competition looks in print, make sure you grab a copy and play along every Monday.

Christmas cards in the press

2nd December  This week the EdinburghSketcher charity Christmas cards will be advertised daily in the Edinburgh Evening News. Let’s hope this will give a boost to the sales and in turn to the money raised for Edinburgh’s Royal Hospital for Sick Children.

Each pack contains six designs, and raises one pound for The Sick Kids Friends Foundation, a wonderful cause which works incredibly hard to improve the lives of sick children and their families.

You can buy the cards direct from this website (HERE) for £4.50 +pnp or in the following outlets around Edinburgh for £5.00.
