A beautiful day in Edinburgh today, great for a family walk through the Botanics and Stockbridge. I’m glad I was disciplined last night and worked on a couple of commissions, so no more today. This is a close up of one I was working on, a mother and her son which is now finished and ready to send.
Mother Laura, made a successful bid for the portrait in a recent online auction for the Countthekicks campaign, making £70 for the charity. I hope she likes it 🙂
Here is a close up of the dog portrait I was working on at the weekend, four jack russells running on a beach. I’ll upload the whole thing once I’ve delivered it.
Here is the final version of my illustration of my gorgeous twins, Zoe and James, aged around four months.
I left it in black and white, just using a black fine pen. It will look lovely in the bright yellow frame I picked up today in Habitat at the West end. The shop is closing down so has some great offers on at the moment.
No sketching today as I was consigned to my bed with a killer migraine. So instead a look at Rubie, a horse portrait I have recently finished. I posted the pencil sketch a few days ago, but here is the final ink version plus one where I have added a contrasting coloured background.
I like both versions but what do you think? All comments welcome, really 😉
