WhereArtI : 13th November : Edinburgh

ES WAI131117Can you tell me where in Edinburgh I have sketched?

If so click the link below to email me your answer. I will pick a random winner from all correct answers on Tuesday morning, and they will go on to the ‘Winners wall’ for the month. At the end of the month those on the wall will be entered into a draw to receive a prize.

The prize for this week is a pair of tickets to the Edinburgh Craft Beer Revolution Festival which runs over three days in November (23rd to 25th).

‘Edinburgh’s biggest and best celebration of craft beer returns for November 2017 with more brewers, more street food and, of course, more craft beer!”

I have a pair of tickets for the Friday 24th afternoon session (Noon – 4.30pm) which I will give to a randomly picked correct answer on Tuesday afternoon. Best of luck!

I hope you join us to play along and keep looking up and noticing the details in the everyday, you never know where I will be sketching next time!

Gottle o’gluten free geer

Saturday night and I think I’ll pick up a few beers for tonight. So glad I found a place selling gluten free beer recently, as I’d missed it loads since becoming diagnosed ceoliac three years ago. Unable to digest wheat or barley meant beer was definitely a no no.

It’s called Estrella Damm Duara, and still the only place I’ve been able to find it is Asda. So please tell me if you see gluten free beer on sale anywhere else in the city.

The Pleasance

The beer has arrived at the Pleasance, one of the main venues for festival shows in Edinburgh. I saw three lorries and a minivan full of beer today, all to keep the festival revellers partying over the next few weeks.

The Pleasance has many venues, ranging in size from 770 seats to just 50 and the central courtyard is a great place for a drink in the evening sunshine, soaking up the festival atmosphere.
