A Sunday afternoon without mobiles and laptops was heaven, and where better to spend it than on the beach at Portobello. We had a great splash around with the twins at Portobello Swim Centre, albeit with a stressful changing episode (Edinburgh Leisure please note: having only 1 of the 3 family rooms available is not helpful)

I recommend the Beach House for a coffee and a delightful piece of home made cake, all with great views out to sea.
