WhereArtI Quiz – 14th March

Surrounded by tall trees like huge columns, this spot is a favourite for outdoor weddings.

Where in Edinburgh have I sketched?

Leave your answer as a comment below, your comment will not show up until I reveal the answer. Get your answer in before 9am tomorrow morning and I will pick a random winner from all correct entries to win a prize.

This week’s prize is a set of my Edinburgh Victorian Cycling Postcards, also available via my Etsy shop.

Keep an eye on my facebook and twitter feeds for clues if they are needed, and remember you can also see my weekly competition in the printed version of the Edinburgh Evening News each Monday.

Keep looking up and noticing the beauty in the everyday, you never know where I will be sketching next!

My Edinburgh sketched merchandise and high quality prints are available on my Etsy shop and I am available for commissions too. Email me at contact@www.edinburghsketcher.com for more details.

This week’s sketch is the John Muir Grove within the Royal Botanical Gardens Edinburgh. I am lucky to live close by and often head to the Botanics to sketch on a sunny day. Sheila Pearce wins this week’s prize. Have a great week 🙂

  5. That’s the grove of fir trees just over the path along the west side of the Rock Garden in the Botanics…
Very good for hugging, those trees.

  6. Aww!! This is the John Muir in the botanic gardens!

Not only did we get married there, you sketched us standing here as a lovely gift from our bridesmaids…

    Happy memories

  7. Sure looks like John Muir Grove to me!
We enjoyed a sunset summer solstice concert there by the Jacobites last year, and it was the perfect way to celebrate.

But I’ve won before, so feel free to pick someone else if I get it. 🙂

I just wish I had a book of all of your Edinburgh sketches.

  8. I think these lovely trees are in the Botanical Gardens. I hope I’m right.
    All the best,
    Chris

  9. Cathedral of redwoods in the Botanics. Love this place thanks for the wonderful drawing ❤️
