  1. #WhereArtI Quiz 17th January answer
This is Murchison House at the University of Edinburgh King’s Buildings. Nathalie Wallace Was picked to win this weeks prize, but I’ll have to send a set of postcards to Tulay Avsar for such a detailed answer, and a clue as to why the building looks the way it does!

  2. Hey! I believe your sketch is of a section of Murchison House at the Uni of Edinburgh “Kings Buildings” campus??? It’s amazing!

  3. Murchison House at the University of Edinburgh up at King’s Buildings. It’s a grade B listed building, built in the 70’s for The Institute of Geological Science, who no longer occupy it. The architect was Allan Pendreigh, and I believe the construction was to represent rock crystal formation.
Ps. I work in that office 🤗

  4. Easy! Murchiston house, the old British geological survey building near kings building/ blackford hill

  5. It’s Murchison House at Edinburgh Univerity’s King’s Buildings Campus, it was occupied by BGS until 2015 – I worked in the James Clerk Maxwell Building(JCMB) for over 30 years.

I bought some of your lovely Christmas cards – they’ve been much enjoyed!
