WhereArtI Quiz – 12th April

My first sketch of Edinburgh’s newest skyline feature, but can you tell me where I got this view?

Can you tell me where in Edinburgh I have sketched?

Your comment will not show up until I reveal the answer tomorrow morning. Get your answer in before midnight tonight and I will pick a random winner from all correct entries by this time tomorrow.

This week’s prize is a screen printed tote bag featuring my illustration of Victoria Street, Edinburgh.

Keep an eye on my facebook and twitter feeds for clues if they are needed later today, and remember you can also see my weekly competition in the printed version of the Edinburgh Evening News each Monday.

Keep looking up and noticing the beauty in the everyday, you never know where I will be sketching next!

My Edinburgh sketched merchandise and high quality prints are available on my Etsy shop and I am available for commissions too. Email me at contact@www.edinburghsketcher.com for more details.

  1. Looks like you are stuck in traffic on North Bridge, heading north.

London has the Gherkin, the Shard and the Walkie-Talkie buildings, but historic Edinburgh gets a giant turd on our skyline.

Still, it’s less of an eyesore than the Christmas Market! Suppose we shall get accustomed to it

  2. The building at the end of princess street/north bridge (and now it is finally time to find out what this building is called :P)

  3. Looking north from north bridge to the registers office with the ‘new’ structure just behind!

  4. General Register House seen from the North Bridge. Behind Register House you can see the St James Quarter development.💩🤭

  5. On North Bridge! Looking towards the National Records of Scotland building. I used to walk this route each week! 🙂

  6. North Bridge facing North towards register House with new w hotel in the background

  7. North Bridge between the old Post Office and the old North British hotel looking towards (the old?) Register House.

  8. The General Register Office at the bottom of South Bridge/East End of Princes Street.

  9. Looking towards General Register House at the East End of Princes Street from North Bridge
