This is Ramsay Garden just by Edinburgh Castle, near the top of the Royal Mile.

Often photographed for the beautiful stairs that lie just to the right of this sketch I love the end of the street and wonder what is around the corner!

This sketch was drawn with a fine liner pen, fade proof so I can watercolour over the top straight way and the ink will not run.
