A trip to Wester Ross

The Sketcher family and I are just back from a week in the Highlands of Scotland, and between walks on the beach, cycles around the coast and barbecues by the caravan I did a few drawings.

Between Ullapool and Gariloch is a stunning peice of land with white sandy beaches, mountain back drops and plenty of nature to inspire you.

My family and I were lucky enough to spend a week at Gruinard Bay Caravan Park, a small family run campsite on the shores of Gruinard Bay.

These sketches are all from our view in the caravan, each drawn with ink and watercolours after or before a day spent exploring the coast line and nearby forests.

Our holiday was a peaceful idylic week which I can not wait to repeat soon.
