WhereArtI Edinburgh?

Monday 20th July

Can you tell me where I have sketched?

Do you recognise this ink and watercolour sketch, of a place recently reopened to visit.

Leave your answer in the comment box below. Your comment will not show up until I reveal the answer, which I will do before the end of the day.

I will pick a random winner from all correct entries and they will go on to the ‘Winners wall’ for the month. At the end of the month one of those will be picked to receive a prize.

The prize for July is a screen printed tote bag featuring my Victoria Street illustration.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is victoriacottonbag.jpg

Keep an eye on my facebook and twitter feeds for clues if they are needed later today, and I will pick a winner for the Winners Wall before the end of the day.

Keep looking up and noticing the beauty in the everyday, you never know where I will be sketching next!

If you would like to buy an Edinburgh Sketcher tea towel you can find all 4 designs in my Etsy shop.

  1. Wow, that must be a great place to work – and lucky boss living in the gate house!

  2. That would be the original street entrance to Edinburgh Zoo on the Corstorphine Road.

  3. The original entrance to Edinburgh zoo! Now the keeper/works entrance. Pass it every single day and I don’t think the clock has ever been right! 🙂

  4. Edinburgh Zoo! I should know I’ve worked there for 26 years and my boss lives in this house. Great sketch.

  5. 🎵We’re all going to the zoo tomorrow, zoo tomorrow, zoo tomorrow

We’re all going to the zoo tomorrow, and we’re going to stay all day. 🎶
