Monday 24th February
Can you tell me where I have sketched this week?
A grassy mound with a church spire through trees, but where is this view?
Leave your answer in the comment box below. Your comment will not show up until I reveal the answer, which I will do so before the end of the day.
I will pick a random winner from all correct entries and they will go on to the ‘Winners wall’ for the month. At the end of the month one of those will be picked to receive a prize.
The prize for February is one of my screen printed tea towels featuring a sketch of The Shore in Leith.
Your comment will not show up until the winner is announced. Keep an eye on my facebook and twitter feeds for clues if they are needed later today, and I will pick a winner for the Winners Wall before the end of the day.
I hope you join us to play along and keep looking up and noticing the beauty in the everyday, you never know where I will be sketching next!
If you would like to buy a tea towel you can find them in my Etsy shop.
#WhereArtI Answer – Monday 24th February: This is one of the mounds in Leith Links, thought to be a gun position created for the Siege of Leith in April 1560. I do agree however it looks a lot like Bruntsfield Links too! Chris Clegg goes into the February prize draw. Another mystery location next Monday.

Hi Chris,
Congratulations, you have won this week’s WhereArtI quiz with your correct answer of Leith Links. You will go into the monthly draw for a prize and I will be in touch at the end of the month if you have won.
All the best, and thanks for playing WhereArtI

I think this might be Leith Links looking towards the old Bond buildings.
Morningside Park looking towards Morningside church.
Bruntsfield Links looking toward the Barclay Church. Regards John Alison
Leith Links
That’s Leith Links, near the bottom of Easter Road. Looking forward to seeing people sunbathing soon!
Giant’s brae on Leith Links? Siege of Leith gun placement?
I think this is on Leith Links, with the old Leith Academy building in the background. It has a little information stone at the bottom. Pretty sure it’s called Giants Brae. Pretty good for sledging….
