WhereArtI Edinburgh?

Can you tell me where in Edinburgh I have sketched this week?

I was loving all the angles in this wee side street, leading your eye up the road. I’m looking for the name of the street I am looking into, good luck 🙂

If you know leave your answer in the comment box below. I will pick a random winner from all correct entries on Tuesday morning, and they will go on to the ‘Winners wall’ for the month. At the end of the month one of those on the wall will be picked to receive a prize.

The prize for May is one of my Shore tea towels, which features my ink sketch of the shore in Leith.

Printed right here in Scotland, each one is a machine washable, 100% cotton and screen printed with one of my sketches.

Your comment will not show up until the winner is announced. Keep an eye on my facebook and twitter feeds for clues if they are needed later today, and I will pick a winner for the Winners Wall tomorrow afternoon.

I hope you join us to play along and keep looking up and noticing the beauty in the everyday, you never know where I will be sketching next!

If you would like to buy one of my four available tea towels (now all £9.95 plus postage) then you can order one here from my Etsy shop.

  1. #WhereArtI Answer – May 27th: This is the view up Spey Street from Pilrig Street. Close to where I used to live in Balfour Street, Leith. ‘Marissa’ was randomly picked to go into the draw for May.

Edinburgh Sketcher merchandise is available online and get in touch if you would like to discuss a commission. https://www.etsy.com/shop/edinburghsketcher

  2. Yes indeed, I drew the church window just around the corner for one of my first WhereArtI’s. Thanks for following for so long!

  3. Hi Marrisa,
Congratulations, you have won this weeks WhereArtI quiz with your correct answer of Spey Street.
You will go into the monthly draw for a prize and I will be in touch at the end of the month if you have been picked. Thanks for playing WhereArtI with Edinburgh Sketcher.

  4. Hi Mark.

This peerie side street is Spey Street at the Southern end of Pilrig Street.

    Lizzie.

  5. At the corner of Pilrig Street and looking up Spey Street.

Just round the corner from an older (and much prettier!) WAI sketch.
