It is great to be back out in the sunshine running sketching workshops.
As the weather starts to improve and the days grow longer I have a number of scheduled drawing days where you can come and pick up some sketching tips while producing a number of drawings capturing the location we are touring.
Last week I was in the New Town and next weekend I have dates in both the Old Town and Causewayside.
I will take you on a walking tour of the area picking out some distinctive local features to capture in pen and watercolour. Moving from quick 5 minute sketches to more detailed longer compositions we will draw both details and long perspectives.
I finish each session with a drink and perhaps a snack too in a location where we can sit around a table, add final touches to our works, mount a favourite piece and discuss how we got on.
It makes for a lovely afternoon or morning of creativity with a friendly bunch of like minded people, where you can relax and free your mind whilst at the same time improving your ability to capture the world around you in a sketch book.
I keep my classes small so I can work with each person, whether they be a complete beginner or regular sketcher.
You can see a full list of my upcoming workshops on my dedicated page HERE but for more information on next weekends classes then see the links below.
