Have you noticed the new Google Digital Garage in Shandwick Place?

In the heart of Edinburgh’s West End the multinational technology company Google have opened a high street hub offering digital skills, for free.

It is a great chance for people who haven’t yet, for one reason or another taken that first step into the digital world, or have done so and become stuck or put off by a process that can seem confusing.

I know personally how when building a business online there always seems something new to learn, a new craze to follow or ‘must have’ app to appeal to new customers. Google’s Digital Garage will help you focus on the right steps to get you started on your online journey.

Whether you want to grow your confidence, career or business they can provide free in-person training and 1-1 coaching to help you achieve your goal.

I have been asked to share my story about how EdinburghSketcher started online and along with two other local digital influencers (Sheri Scott from ForeveryourBetty, and MBE Scottish supermodel, actress and curator Eunice Olumide) we will be in the West End shop on the 21st August 2-4pm to give a wee talk, answer a few questions and hopefully offer some advice to people wanting to get started online.
