Thank you

17th May 2013   It may be a distant memory as the sun is blazing down on Edinburgh this afternoon but last Christmas I produced packs of six Christmas cards from my sketches, in aid of the Sick Kids Friends Foundation, the charity for Edinburgh’s Royal Hospital for Sick Children.

The cards were on sale from my website as well as from a number of cafe’s and shops around town, thanks to all those who agreed to display and sell the cards on my behalf.
I have finally collected all monies raised and would like to say a huge thank you too to everyone who bought a pack and helped raise a total of £150 for the charity, which I delivered just the other day.
They were delighted and very grateful for the contribution, and if you have a moment you can find out more about where the money will go, and the difference it will make to the children and families that use the hospital HERE.
You can also donate direct to the Sick Kids Friends Foundation HERE.

Thanks to David…

WhereArtI Update: 26th April 2013
A huge thank you to David Geddes, winner of last weeks WhereArtI and the family ticket for an Edinburgh Bus Tour.

As David lives in the Wester Ross area of the Highlands he asked me to give the pass to a good cause, and we opted for the Sick Kids hospital here in Edinburgh.

There are many families, some far from home, with children in the hospital long term, who themselves can only leave the ward for a few hours at a time before they need medication.

The tour pass will give such a family the chance to escape the ward for a well needed distraction and a little normality.

Thanks again for your generosity, David.

Foodies at Holyrood gallery

30th January  The Foodies at Holyrood cafe near the Scottish Parliament are currently hanging EdinburghSketcher artwork in their gallery space.

For the next two months they have kindly agreed to hang my work in their cafe. I have a mixture of prints and original sketches on sale, in various sizes and at a range of prices. All artwork is framed and available to buy straight off the wall. The gallery will keep changing as I will replace each sold piece with a new different sketch.

Pop in and pick up a piece of original Edinburgh art, and stay for a while. They serve delicious baked potatoes, soups and sandwiches along with great coffee.

For directions (the cafe is on Holyrood road) and more information about their  menu and facilities see their website HERE.
